Orthodontic Exposure of Impacted Tooth
Your orthodontist has referred you to our office to have a surgical procedure performed to expose your impacted tooth. The gum tissue on top of the impacted tooth will be removed to expose the hidden tooth underneath. If there is a baby tooth present, it will be removed at the same time. Sometimes, the doctor may need to attach a bracket to the impacted tooth. Shortly after surgery, you will return to your orthodontist to begin the process of slowly moving your tooth into its proper space of the dental arch. If you would like to schedule a consultation appointment, please give us a call at 815-261-1739.
